PLEASANTON -- The first playoff game for the Wolfpack of St. Raymond was played against St. Joan’s who won the play-in game against SM/SC on Saturday. St. Joan’s had a difficult time with the Wolfpack in the regular season and the playoffs proved to be no different. In the first 3 minute period, the Wolfpack jumped on top 4-0 with a basket by Alexis Hooper assisted by Maddie Taylor followed by a 15-foot jumper by Maddie after a nice pass from Hailey Meyer.

The second 3 minute period saw the lead jump to 9-0 after a nice rebound and follow up shot by Tess Molinar, a score by Maddie off an inbounds pass from Nikki and a free throw by Maddie. Maddie made another shot after another assist from Nikki to round out the scoring for the first half, with the Wolfpack leading 11-0.

The second half saw the Wolfpack continue where they left off when Jillian Weber whipped in a beautiful pass to Alexis Hooper under the basket for an easy layup. Nikki found an open Hailey Meyer who drained her second 18-foot shot in as many games.

Nikki got her fourth assist of the game when she found an open Sammy Maguire who stepped up and made a nice 10 footer. Tess Molinar finished the scoring for the Wolfpack after fighting for a rebound and then putting it up and in.

With the 26-4 win, the Wolfpack earned the right to play St. Isidore, the only team to beat them all year, in the championship game next Sunday at Granda High School.
